Egyptian Wood and Polychrome Sarcophagus Mummy Mask

Description

Fabulous Ancient Egyptian wood and polychrome Sarcophagus mask with extensive remains of painted decoration. Face is a skin colour highlighted with black around the eyes and ears. Features are subtle and well carved. Small remaining areas of polychrome paint show what would once have been a splendid array of painted decoration. False beard which has links to Royalty and the Gods.
