Egyptian Wooden Sarcophagus Mummy Mask

Description

Ancient Egyptian wooden Sarcophagus mask with extensive remains of polychrome paint to main surface. Facial colouring with black delineated eye, eyebrow detail. Remains of once was gold paint above the hairline. Late Period 664 to 332 BC. Presented on a custom made stand.

Condition

Good ancient condition for an object of this type. Wood well preserved. Remains of wooden dowels for affixing to a casket evident. Losses to polychrome as per photos.
